Islands focuses on presenting human struggles on social media(e.g.  the war, the poverty…ect). Each painting represents a universal status of struggling. I intend to create a composition similar to how people post stories on Instagram, some of them intentionally adjust the size and place the images in certain positions. I am wondering if posting on social media becomes a method to demonstrate/promote personal values rather than focusing on the event itself. The posts become a part of numerous isolated messages in the virtual world, they are not necessarily connected yet exist at the same time. In the end, each story/post on social media turns into an isolated island. Human struggles in reality seem not real anymore.
